City of Turku
The Castle and Cathedral are the two poles of historic Turku, between which just about every important site in the city can be found.
In Turku and the Southwest-Finland region it’s easy for the traveller to get around in his or her own vehicle, as well as on public transportation. Cities and towns have an efficient public transportation system, and longer distances can be covered in the comfort of long-distance buses and trains. In addition, there is an international airport and passenger ferry harbour in Turku.
Its archipelago is also easily accessible to the visitor, either by road or by ferryboat and connecting vessels. The furthest tip of a peninsula can be reached by a boat taxi.
The Turku region offers comprehensive public transport services. The Turku region’s Föli public transportation offers ticket prices at a flat rate regardless of journey length, throughout Turku, Kaarina, Raisio, Lieto, Naantali and Rusko.
